This graceful variety is known as Spindle, but is also referred to as Japanese spindle. Thanks to its versatile growth form, the plant is suitable as a ground cover, low hedge, or even as a small climber against a trellis or wall.

Leaf and color accent

The ‘Emerald Gaiety’ has compact, oval leaves with a striking green-white variegation. The leaf center is fresh dark green, framed by a contrasting cream to whitish-yellow edge. In winter, the leaf edges can sometimes take on a subtle pink hue – an extra color accent!
