Nepeta 'Walker's Low' belongs to the mint family (Lamiaceae) and blooms profusely from May to September. The plant forms compact, airy clumps about 50 to 75 cm tall and is perfect as a border plant in flower beds, rock gardens, or along garden paths. The gray-green leaves are aromatic to the touch and remain attractive even in mild winters.

Location & care:
This plant thrives best in a sunny spot but also tolerates light shade. It prefers well-drained, dry to moderately moist soil – calcareous or poor soils are no problem. Once well-rooted, Nepeta is drought-tolerant and thus ideal for low-maintenance gardens.

Pruning tip: Cut the plant back to a third of its height at the end of June to encourage a second bloom in late summer. In early spring, you can remove dead stems for fresh new growth.

Note: Cats often love this plant and may roll in it, which can cause leaf damage. Consider protection for overenthusiastic pets.
