Beaucarnea, also known as ponytail palm, is a resilient houseplant with a distinctive thickened trunk and narrow, arching leaves. The plant stores water in this trunk, so it tolerates dry periods better than many other houseplants. Place Beaucarnea in a bright spot and let the potting soil dry well before watering again.

Beaucarnea is generally considered pet-friendly, but cats and dogs should not chew the leaves regularly.
